From Durham take A691 signposted Consett. Follow the A691 for 10 miles past Witton Gilbert, through Lanchester until you reach the Leadgate roundabout. Cross the roundabout taking the 2nd exit onto the B6309. Travel through Leadgate and Pont and continue on the B6309. At the bottom of Ebchester Hill, turn right onto the A694. Follow the road until the Chelmsford public house. The access to the garden is the first on your right up Rectory Lane, after Front Street terrace. The garden land is located at the end of this lane, to the right of the neighbouring gardens.
