A fine former Victorian Methodist Chapel situated in the busy old mining community of Askern some 8 miles north of Doncaster. The chapel incorporates many attractive features including stone finished Gothic pinnacled and mullioned windows, feature coloured glass rounded window on the front, extensive use of buttressing and steeply rising slate roof. The chapel was constructed around 1878 and incorporates, as is was the custom in the Methodist tradition a sizable rear school room which in its self is an interesting structure. The premises would be suitable for a range of uses subject to obtaining planning consent. Directions Travelling along the A19 from Doncaster, turn right on to Station Road (with the boating lake on your right) Station Road leads into Moss Road at the railway crossing whereupon the premises are situated on the right hand side.

At the front of the building, gallery partitioned off from the main vaulted chapel with some of the original step flooring remains in position. To the rear of the chapel there is a Gothic arched finished choir stall area.
