LOCATION
The site is located in a residential area, south-west of Derby city centre. From the south take the A38 northbound and exit onto the A516 for M1 south, Derby and Nottingham. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit for Uttoxeter Rd/B5020 to Mickleover. Continue for approx. 1 mile, and over the A38 before turning right onto Arundel Avenue.From Arundel Avenue turn left at the T junction onto Western Road then take the first right onto Brisbane Road. Turn right into Melbourne Close then take the left hand fork to the end of the street. The site is located at the end of the street.
DESCRIPTION
The 0.06 acre (approx) site is a former sewage pumping station used by Severn Trent Water Ltd and is located on the edge of Derby city centre in the residential area of Mickleover. The pumping station building has been removed but some manholes still remain in the concrete surface, providing access to surface water drains and sewage pipes.
The site is accessed via a small concrete driveway off Melbourne Close which is included in the sale and which Severn Trent Water Ltd will retain a right of access over.
The site boundary consists of metal bar fencing and double gates at the entrance to the site provide additional security.
PLANNING
The site has potential for a number of alternative uses subject to the necessary planning consents being obtained. The site is located within the residential area of Mickleover and information regarding its potential re-use is contained within the Derby City Council proposals map.
