Arguably one of the areas most quintessentially English villages, Rampton, Cambridgeshire is a pretty hamlet located between Willingham and Cottenham some 7 miles north west of the city of Cambridge. In the heart of the village a variety of established homes overlook the triangular green with it's smattering of mature Horsechestnuts and traditional pond. Public transport by bus links Rampton with Cottenham, the city of Cambridge and the popular market town of St Ives and there is a dedicated cycle path to Cottenham with its highly regarded village college. The Guided Busway linking St Ives with Cambridge runs just south west of Rampton with the nearest stations at Longstanton and Histon. A wider range of facilities are available in the neighbouring villages of Willingham and Cottenham, both bustling edge-of-the-fen communities with restaurants, pubs, churches and an amazing variety of popular and interesting shops often specialising in locally sourced produce and craftsmanship.
