There are good local facilities in both Chudleigh and Chudleigh Knighton while the town of Bovey Tracey is within 3 miles.
The cathedral and university city of Exeter is about 13 miles which provides an extensive range of facilities befitting a centre of this importance.
The boundary of the Dartmoor National Park is within 3 miles where there is wonderful countryside for walking, riding, cycling and fishing whilst the coast at Teignmouth and Dawlish is within 9 miles. The Teign Estuary is only 5 miles.
Pitt Farm has been converted to a number of barn conversions primarily arranged around a courtyard, though Pitt Copse and its adjoining property are away from the main farmstead and enjoy privacy.
THE HOUSE
Pitt Copse is an attached barn conversion which was converted from a substantial stone and slate barn within the last five years. It is arranged over three floors and has some magnificent features.
The property has underfloor gas-fired central heating with numerous quality features including fine limestone flooring, exposed beams, a magnificent curved oak staircase and high quality kitchen and bathrooms fittings.
The front door, on the ground floor, leads into a hallway off which is bedroom four/study. The hallway opens out into the sitting room, a fine room with two sets of French windows with juliette balconies and moorland views. The room has a fine feature horseshoe-shaped brick wall with inset wood burner. It is also open plan to the stunning kitchen, a triple aspect room with wood burning stove, range of cupboards and drawers with granite work tops, and French windows out to the terrace. There is also a well appointed shower/utility room on this floor which also accommodates the gas boiler.
An impressive semi-circular oak staircase leads down to the lower ground floor. On this level is bedroom two with limestone floor, massive exposed beam, large walk-in wardrobe and a magnificent ensuite bathroom with limestone floor, shower cubicle, free standing bath, wc and basin. French windows open to the patio with steps up to the terrace. Bedroom three is also on this level with limestone floor. A corridor leads to a large storage room which houses the heating system thermal store which results in excellent dry, warm storage.
The impressive curved oak staircase leads up to the first floor where there is the master bedroom which is an impressive room, part with sloping ceiling and with built-in wardrobes. Door to ensuite shower room with large shower cubicle, wc and basin. There is also an eaves storage cupboard, further store room and a bat box!
