DIRECTIONS: From our Culcheth office turn left onto Warrington Road and proceed straight on at the mini roundabout. Continue to the roundabout and turn left and follow the signs for M62 Liverpool/Manchester. This will take you to Junction 11 at Birchwood; join the motorway in the direction of Liverpool and exit at junction 8. WHAT IS SHARED EQUITY?
Shared Equity means that the purchaser only pays 75% of the asking price, and the landlord provide an interest free loan for the remaining 25%. There is no rent to pay on the loan but if you still own the property on the 10th anniversary, the landlord will be entitled to charge interest on the loan at 1.75% of the remaining percentage, per annum from that date.
Although you can repay the loan at any time, in the majority of circumstances, the Purchaser will repay the loan when he or she comes to sell the property in the future. At that point, the landlord will be paid 25% of the sale price of the property.
