Our atlas melodie was purchased new for the 2007 season.

It has not been rented and has only been used by ourselves and immediate family. The price is a 40% saving on the original installation package and is extremely competitive compared to site agents' prices for models of similar specification (often mainly ex-rental).
If you do decide to rent, and many owners do, it could become a good investment opportunity. Rental yields are very attractive in july and august. Domaine de bel air has been specifically planned to site mobile homes into small rows with about twelve homes in each. If you can imagine row after row extending down a gentle slope with a lake at the bottom and with each row perched above the 1 in front you get some idea of the thought that went into its original design. Trees and shrubs afford shelter and privacy between plots. The sandy soil provides ideal growing conditions for spectacular displays of rhododendrons in the spring and hydrangeas throughout the summer months.
From our lounge window we have an unimpeded view down to the valley bottom and the woods beyond.
The major campsite improvements introduced last year lead to it being awarded the coveted five star rating by the french tourist board.(there are only a handful of such sites in the whole of brittany). It is also the holder of "la clef verte", or "green key" which is france's environmental seal of approval awarded to campsites for their efforts to protect the environment.
The site now boasts three swimming pools. The new fun splash pool complex, complete with twisting chute and slides is a real hit with children. It is part of the 30 acre leisure park "bel air land" with its own six acre lake, deer park, coarse fishing, and pedalos. The accommodation the lounge offers fairly spacious accommodation with 2 fitted sofas, 1 of which opens into a sofa bed, extending dining table with 4 chairs and a fitted gas fire and surround. There are glass fronted display cabinets and a console for the tv,video disc player and music centre. The 32 in. Plasma tv is included in the price together with freesat sky box and satellite dish. We are also leaving the video disc player, and music centre along with curtains and nets.
Our kitchen has plenty of storage cupboards and workspace, a fullsize gas oven and hob and fridge freezer. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, pans and cutlery. Included in the price is the ironing board, whirly clothes line, fan heater, vacuum cleaner and outside storage box.
There are 2 good sized bedrooms. Bedroom one has a double bed, wardrobe, a dressing table with drawers and 2 bedside cabinets. Bedroom two has two single beds, a wardrobe and a bedside cabinet. Both rooms have curtains, blackout and mosquito blinds.
There are 2 toilets. The main bathroom has a large shower cubicle, toilet, wash basin and a bathroom cabinet. The 2nd toilet is located adjacent to the 2nd bedroom and is full sized. There is a small wash basin and shelf for toiletries.
The atlas has a separate front door in addition to double doors that open from the lounge area outwards onto a good sized wooden terrace.(having an additional door is a big advantage over other designs many of which rely on heavy sliding doors as the only way in and out). This was the main reason why we purchased the atlas.
All doors and windows are double glazed. The location. Bel air is situated two kilometers west of the village of landudec in south west brittany.this area is a mirror image of cornwall but without the summer crowds, congested roads and exorbitant parking fees. The coast bears a striking resemblance to north cornwall with its rugged cliffs and atlantic breakers whereas tucked around the corner the seaside resorts of benodet and fouesnant are more genteel like falmouth and looe.if you love cornwall you will love s.w brittany! The campsite is about nine miles west of the regional town of quimper which is situated on the banks of the river odet. Quimper is the capital of cornouaille and boasts a beautiful twin towered cathedral. Bel air is just a five minimum. Drive from miles of glorious beaches and exhilarating coastal walks. Douarnenez and audierne are the nearest fishing ports and just along the coast is pointe du raz, the most westerly point of france. It is a national site of special scientific interest and is 1 of the world's most wild and mysterious places with its dramatic seas and coastline.
The park is now closed (the season begins at easter and ends in september each year). Our home can be viewed at any time with the consent of the campsite owner but we shall be back at easter in early april to set it up for the new season and you are very welcome to visit us and see at 1st hand this lovely site and what it can offer. . . .
